GorgeMaid LLC is a small home based business. It is located in the Pacific Northwest where the Columbia River forms the Columbia Gorge that defines the boundary between the states of Oregon and Washington. This area is known for its clean air, mountains (including one volcano), tall trees, white water rafting and wind surfing. Our logo picture is just one of the fine scenic views of this area.

Our surroundings are the inspiration for developing healthful skin care products that are also safe for the environment. Some literature suggests commercial soaps are not only unhealthy for our skin but also for our waterways. We began the business with all natural basic soaps. Our aim is to provide a healthful natural product at a reasonable price that sperforms its function using the best natural has to offer with no synthetics or preservatives.

Sometimes this will mean our prices are not as competitive with mass manufacturing who benefit from volume buying and will use synthetic substitutes that are less costly. It may also mean our products are not consistent. They will vary from batch to batch and will not have as long a shelf life. But then nature has its seasons and so will a natural product that contains no preservatives.
